REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industries.
  • Min Cert 4 in Health and Safety.
  • Cert IV Training and Assessment is desirable.
  • Advanced understanding and knowledge of HSE legislation.
  • Self-motivated, team driven with a desire to add value to the discipline.
  • Personable with strong relationship management skills.
  • Flexible and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) capability.
  • Well-developed IT capabilities (i.e. Word, Excel).
  • Have a high level of analytical and computing skills.
  • A current Drivers licence.
  • Full rights to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to continued business growth, we are seeking highly motivated HSE Advisors to join our teams across Australia. Reporting to either the West Coast or East Coast HSE Leads, the HSE Advisor will provide hands-on, field-based support, leading and mentoring teams to safely execute specialist high-risk activities during turnaround scopes. The role will also ensure compliance with the HSE Management System, relevant legislation, and all operational HSE deliverables.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

  • Ensure that Corporate and Client required HSE Management requirements are implemented and maintained to a high standard.
  • Identify and report to the Site Project Manager and HSE Lead any high-risk issues that have the potential to impact on HSE compliance.
  • Co-ordinate / assist with the development and implementation of risk assessments for work activities.
  • Conduct / participate in site inspections of work activities to ensure HSE compliance, as required, participate in audits and inspections conducted by other parties.
  • As directed, co-ordinate HSE incident investigations.
  • Provide leadership through proactive HSE Management.
  • Ensure critical business needs of key stakeholders are met in a timely manner.
  • Report on safety initiatives and incidents.
  • Conduct / co-ordinate site induction for site-based maintenance and turnaround personnel.
