Job Description: We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to champion a strong safety culture across our fast-paced transport and logistics operations. You’ll lead improvements, influence key stakeholders, and ensure our people and processes stay safe, compliant, and efficient. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven, demonstrable experience in a similar senior role, ideally gained in a related industry such as distribution and warehousing.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a HSE or similar role.
  • Track record of driving and delivering measurable H&S improvements and change within a dynamic, growing business.
  • An effective leader and influencer. Well-honed skills relating to stakeholder engagement and experience with liaison and influence at all management levels.
  • A strong track record delivering sustainable safety performance improvement through behavioural and cultural change.
  • An industry recognised qualification minimum NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Experience of being part of a HACCP team.
Responsibilities
  • Foster strong relationships with and support operational business areas across the Group.
  • Proactively deliver continuous improvements in all H&S processes and metrics to improve overall business performance.
  • Ensure adoption of best practice H&S management processes including ‘Potential Hazard’ and accident reporting, accident investigation, trend analysis, risk assessments, safe systems of work, employee engagement and training.
  • Assist in the implementation of initiatives to embed a strong H&S awareness culture.
  • Ensure systems, policies and procedures demonstrate compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • To be an active HACCP team member and ensure plans are up to date in accordance with legalisation.
  • Report on HSE performance, trends and improvement recommendations to Management Board and Senior Management.
  • To liaise with customers to resolve complaints and challenges.
  • To review and update H&S documentation in line with Group approach.
  • Influence key stakeholders including General Managers, Depot Managers and site leads related to Group policy and working practices.
  • Champion the Group’s internal ‘Safety First’ branding, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • The role reports to the HSE Manager.
