We are looking for an HSE Advisor in Fort McMurray, Alberta, who can support our teams by implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental programs, conducting inspections, assisting with incident investigations, and promoting a strong culture of safety. We offer the benefits of working in Fort McMurray while being based in town and not having to work long site-based shift rotations.

How You’ll Move the Needle

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and lead.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment.

What You Need to Succeed

  • NCSO designation (National Construction Safety Officer).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in health and safety coordination, preferably in mechanical contracting, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OH&S legislation and industry standards in Alberta.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident investigations and hazard assessments.

What would give you an Edge

  • Previous experience in Fort McMurray or the oil sands region.
  • Familiarity with client safety management systems (e.g., Suncor, Syncrude, CNRL).
  • Additional safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, COR auditor training).
