ARE YOU OUR NEW HSE ADVISOR/MEDIC?

DOF Australia is seeking an experienced casual HSE Advisor/Medic to join our offshore team on our vessels. This role is suited to a qualified professional with proven health, safety, environment and medical expertise.
As part of our team, you will play a critical role in upholding the health and wellbeing of our people, while supporting operations through effective HSE guidance and on-site medical care. This role requires a balance of proactive leadership and the ability to respond effectively to HSE and medical challenges as they arise.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered Nurse or Paramedic with valid AHPRA registration.
  • Cert IV or Diploma in Health and Safety.
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment is advantageous.
  • Preferably 5 years of HSE experience within the oil and gas industry.
  • Preferably 5 years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Emergency response training is desired, specifically in ALS, Burns, Trauma, MIMMS and Specimen Collection HLTPAT005.
  • BOSIET Training.
  • Valid Offshore Medical (i.e. AMSA or OEUK)
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of the company’s HSE Systems through consultation and coordination with the offshore marine and project management teams.
  • Provide HSE advice and oversight in support of offshore construction/ subsea intervention activities.
  • Conduct workforce coaching and training in company HSE policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and conduct HSE training on board the vessel.
  • Record incidents and HSE statistical information.
  • Conduct incident investigations in line with company procedures.
  • Manage the ships hospital, including maintaining the hospital equipment in line with company and flag state requirements.
  • Respond and manage medical emergencies.
  • Manage Drug and Alcohol testing in line with company policy.
  • Maintain medical records and injury reports.
  • Computer proficient with data base systems and Microsoft office.
