From confined spaces to towering superstructures, your expertise will protect employees, contractors, and visitors while ensuring compliance with maritime, occupational, and environmental safety standards. 🛠 What You’ll Be Doing • Conducting risk assessments and method statements for high-risk activities like hot works, heavy lifting, and confined space entry • Leading safety inductions, toolbox talks, and tailored training sessions • Investigating incidents and near misses, producing root cause analysis reports • Auditing contractors and inspecting shipyard environments for compliance • Monitoring environmental conditions and verifying equipment safety • Promoting a proactive “safety-first” culture across all levels of the workforc Qualifications 🎯 What You Bring • NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction/Marine Safety • Tech IOSH membership (or working towards) • Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, confined space entry, lifting ops, hot works, and environmental risk management • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage a diverse workforce • Experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, oil & gas, or heavy engineering environments 🌱 Bonus Points For • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent • Auditing experience with ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 • Background in fabrication or manufacturing Additional Information Split between office and operational environments, with occasional travel and overnight stays.
