OVERVIEW

Offshore Helicopter Services UK Ltd have a requirement for an HSE Advisor within our Aberdeen Safety & Compliance Team, providing Health, Safety & Environmental advice and assistance across our operations. The successful applicant will require practical experience within HSE and have the skills, knowledge and expertise to help and support across all departments..

Key responsibilities of the HSE Advisor will include:

  • Work to improve the HSE documentation and take responsibilities for specific points within the annual O&Ts
  • Where required, assist with the Management of and compliance with the UK Emissions Trading System (UK-ETS) and the OHS Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS)
  • Management, development and effective delivery of relevant HSE related training/COSHH programmes and systems
  • Participate in risk-based HSE projects / promotions as required
  • Conduct audits, base inspections, drills and risk assessments based on the relevant schedule in Aberdeen and our Shetland base
  • Conduct health surveillance requirements and any occupational requirements (PRA, return to work assessments, D&A testing OHS representative etc.)
  • Co-ordinate, raise, respond and close out associated findings / actions
  • Be a role model for the S&C Team and lead by example
  • Ensure Company HSE standards are effectively implemented and maintained to meet all applicable legislation
  • Conduct, record and action occupational health, safety, and environmental accident / incident investigations and provide support where required
  • Provide guidance and direction to management teams and employees with regards to safety, health and environmental matters
  • Conduct HSE related training where required
  • Provide HSE subject matter expertise to departmental teams
  • Assist and advise in the ongoing development and implementation of HSE improvement planning via HSE key performance indicators and objectives and targets

We are looking for applicants who have:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (or similar level alternative qualification)
  • Professional HS or E Membership with maintenance of CPD requirements
  • Internal Auditor third party formal training as a minimum
  • Formal accident investigation training
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the wider S&C Team
  • Good organisational, communication and time management skills with a friendly and approachable character
  • At least two years operational experience in a similar HSE Advisor role
  • The ability to react to a busy operational environment
