Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Seeking an HSE Advisor with a strong background in supporting high-risk activities across mechanical access disciplines and industrial services. This is a site-based role working across our Alcoa Wagerup and Pinjarra operations, supporting the Asset Maintenance Southwest team.
The successful candidate will provide ongoing and day-to-day HSE support, advice, training, mentoring, reporting functions, and systems maintenance for SRG Global’s site teams. You will also assist the HSET Superintendent with the rollout and maintenance of the organisation’s WHS Management System, project-specific plans, and HSE programs.
This role is key to maintaining a high-performance safety culture, fostering continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with all legislative and client requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop strong working relationships across all levels of site operations to implement and embed SRG Global’s safety culture and systems.
  • Support the implementation of work health and safety management plans.
  • Conduct regular field-based safety engagements, inspections, and coaching to drive proactive risk management.
  • Provide frontline support and guidance to site teams and supervisors on hazard management, incident response, and compliance.
  • Lead or assist in incident investigations, including ICAM analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor high-risk activities to ensure adherence to safe systems of work and legislative requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records in the HSE Event Management System, including reporting of incidents, near misses, and observations.
  • Prepare and deliver safety reports, alerts, and other documentation at the project level.
  • Assist with prestart meetings, toolbox talks, and facilitate safety committee activities.
  • Support internal and external audit processes and follow up on recommended actions.
  • Contribute to emergency preparedness, on-site response, and injury management activities.
  • Act as a visible safety leader, promoting a culture of zero harm and continuous improvement.
