Description
UGL is seeking a proactive and field-savvy HSE Advisor to join our Telecommunications team, supporting the NBN Ticket of Works program across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, and Gold Coast. This is a mobile, field-focused role based out of our Southbank, Brisbane office, offering the opportunity to work across diverse civil environments and drive contractor compliance and environmental excellence. What you’ll be doing Lead and mentor operational teams, focusing on risk mitigation strategies. Develop and implement management plans, risk registers, and SWMS. Onboard contractors and ensure compliance with HSE standards. Partner with project teams to deliver safety initiatives aligned with business goals. Conduct in-field inspections and audits across multiple regional sites. Investigate HSE incidents using ICAM methodology and manage corrective actions. Review and support environmental management plans and controls. About You 3–5 years’ experience in high-risk industries, ideally civil construction or telecommunications. Strong understanding of environmental controls and legislation. Experience with ICAM investigations and internal auditing (highly regarded). Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (mandatory). General Construction Induction and valid Australian driver’s license. A proactive, energetic advisor ready to grow and make an impact.
