Description

Role: Health, Safety and Environment Business Partner
Location: Tamworth (open to other locations within Northern NSW)
Salary: Competitive salary + bonus + vehicle provided

In this role, you’ll contribute by being a crucial member of the NNSW team for GrainCorp’s country and Port operations.
The purpose of this role is to foster a culture of health, safety and environmental responsibility within the NNSW Operations leadership team at GrainCorp. This will be achieved through coaching, leading by example, and implementing the company’s health, safety and environment (HSE) strategy and plans.
Based in our office at Tamworth and offered on a hybrid working pattern, you will report to the HSE Business Partner Manager.
The role will take lead across all health, safety and environment matters for the portfolio. You’ll implement business and group-level HSE strategies, programs and initiatives, developing targeted solutions for your portfolio that lead to continuous and sustainable improvements in HSE performance.

ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE

Our ideal candidate has recognised qualifications / formal training in workplace health and safety (WHS) and sound experience operating in an autonomous HSE Business Partner position within a similar business environment (such as supply chain / logistics or manufacturing).

OTHER SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE KEY TO YOUR SUCCESS WILL BE;

  • Leading / implementing change through influence
  • Prior experience in a HSE role with a proven track record in improving SHE performance in an operational role.
  • Highly developed ability to translate the Policies on Safety, Health & Environment into meaningful terms.
  • Experience with critical risk management and its implementation.
  • Highly developed practical understanding of HSE management, including management systems, risk assessment, accident / incident investigation, Behavioural Based Safety and Safety Leadership.
