WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Health, Safety & Environment or related role.
  • Logistics and supply chain experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • A Bachelors, Graduate Diploma or Master’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Science or a related discipline is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Collaborative and able to connect across a wide variety of stakeholders across geographies and levels.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to influence and drive change.
  • Excellent planning, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in risk management, audit & assurance and incident investigation.
  • Knowledge of state WHS and environmental laws.
  • Ability to support HSE activities and stakeholders across multiple sites in NSW.
    Preferred candidates will be required to undertake reference checks as well as pre-employment screening, including a National Police Check. Where applicable, background checks including Employment History and Education History (including Qualifications) may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Partnering and supporting Site Management and Safety Champions on: (1) the identification, assessment and control of HSE risks; (2) the investigation of incidents to prevent reoccurrence and share learnings; & (3) manage risks through selection, maintenance and condition of installations, machinery, equipment, and tools used as part of daily operations.
  • Support delivery of the Regional and Global HSE improvement programs
  • Build trust and confidence with site operations leaders and influence change through risk based and data-driven decision-making
  • Facilitate compliance to the Oceania HSSE Management framework (including global HSE standards) and advise on legal compliance with local legislation.
  • Collaborate across Operations, HR & Procurement to support the management of contractor / vendor HSE risk.
  • Design and support the local HSE inspection & assurance program in line with country or area programs.
  • Perform HSE impact and risk assessments during Growth & Integration, e.g. HSE Business case process.
  • Support implementation of Chain of Responsibility processes.
