Description
Techconnect.id is seeking a highly experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Department Head to lead and manage all aspects of health, safety, and environmental programs within the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards. This leadership role involves promoting a strong safety culture, minimizing workplace risks, conducting training programs, and leading incident investigations. You will collaborate closely with various departments to integrate HSE practices into daily operations, aiming to safeguard the wellbeing of employees, contractors, and the environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies, programs, and procedures Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards Lead and promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations Provide HSE training and awareness programs to employees and contractors Oversee emergency preparedness and response plans Monitor HSE performance metrics and report to senior management Collaborate with operational teams to integrate HSE best practices Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or related field Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in HSE roles within the mining or heavy industry sector Proven leadership experience managing HSE teams Strong knowledge of national and international HSE regulations and standards (e.g., OHSAS, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills Ability to analyze data and implement continuous improvement initiatives Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, Certified Safety Professional) is highly desirable
