JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a qualified and proactive HSE Engineer to ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across our construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will implement HSE policies, conduct inspections, and promote a culture of safety among all project stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an HSE Engineer in the construction industry, preferably in the UAE.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent, with a recognized HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA).
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with UAE regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend preventive/corrective actions.
  • Prepare and deliver HSE induction, awareness, and training programs for staff and subcontractors.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective measures.
  • Monitor and enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on-site.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure safe work practices.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Prepare HSE reports for submission to management and regulatory authorities.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through continuous engagement and communication.
