Job Title: HSE Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi
Experience: 5+ years in construction or industrial HSE roles

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as HSE Engineer in construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards (OSHA, ISO 45001).
  • Experience in risk assessments, audits, and accident investigations.
  • Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HSE reporting software.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

Ensure the implementation and enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across all construction activities, minimizing risks, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and promoting a safe working environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs in line with company standards and UAE regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for staff and contractors.
  • Maintain HSE records, permits, and documentation as per company and legal requirements.
  • Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure HSE compliance in all project phases.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to improve safety standards.
