Join us and shape your story with Mott MacDonald, where everyone has the opportunity to be brilliant.   Main Purpose of the Job:  HSE Engineer will be responsible for driving a collaborative culture of HSE across the project.   Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:  Development, implementation and monitoring of HSEQ procedures and policies  Leadership and/or managerial experience along with mentoring skills  Coordinate incident investigations and reporting on outcomes   Prepare and Implement thorough audit program inclusive of ongoing construction   Ensure that all non-conformances generated during an External/Internal audit are closed out   Ability to deliver safety practices to ensure zero injury, zero risk, and zero harm  Coordinate with MM Group on implementation of HSE minimum requirements and procedures  Ensure that Project Quality and HSE plans are effectively implemented by periodic site visit and audits  Expert in carrying out HSE risk assessment & Environment aspect impact analysis for construction sites and offices  Schedule regular and ad-hoc HSE audits; develop program audit within the organization   Produce, develop and deliver the Project HSEQ training and HSEQ orientation   Monitor environmental control activities including waste minimisation, and drive sustainability initiatives.   Candidate Specification:   Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Health & Safety/Environmental Management from a recognized University; membership of internationally recognized Safety Association e.g. NEBOSH  Significant experience in Infrastructure safety preferably in the UAE  Hold valid certificate in First Aid/ Hazard Assessment Operating knowledge with ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14000 as well as local standards such as OHSAD  Must be able to advise and supervise Contractors in a broad range of safety and health hazard preventions and enforcement to the Contractors and project personnel on sites   Must demonstrate his knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental regulations, requirements for construction projects and awareness of all hazards likely to exist at construction sites.
