Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly experienced HSE Lead to join our corporate team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Reporting to the General Manager of HSE & Energy Transition, you will oversee and continuously improve HSE procedures and policies across the East Coast region. You’ll provide safety leadership, participate in audits and inspections, lead incident investigations, support teams and clients on HSE matters, and drive safety campaigns and strategies that promote a strong safety culture.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

  • Provide HSEQ leadership to CR – drive emphasis of leading indicators and behaviour-based safety
  • Participate in the CR business strategy development, enabling capture and integration of opportunities that fall into the role’s scope of accountabilities
  • Develop and lead the implementation and ongoing performance of the Group’s behavioural based safety program
  • Hold Group accountability for the integrated management system ensuring it meets identified business and accreditation requirements
  • Represent CR in related legal matters and compliance reporting (common law, Workcover, Worksafe)
  • Conduct incident investigations in line with CR investigation policy and support Client lead investigations where required
  • Provide HSEQ reporting to suit Group and Region’s needs; provide effective reporting that supports communication of lead and lag indicators
  • Provide tender support in HSEQ for major contracts and Tenders
  • Actively support the Client, Site Coordinators and Supervisors with all HSE matters
  • Participate in HSEQ management pre-planning and attendance on site
  • Report on safety initiatives and incidents – prepare weekly zero harm report and participate in weekly review
  • Assist in development and activation of site emergency response plans
  • Conduct and actively participate in site walk and talks, audits, inspections with CR and Client Management
  • Maintain strong client relationships with the HSEQ community
  • Review and develop procedures and standard operating instructions as required
