PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree level in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (NEBOSH Diploma or working towards, min NEBOSH General Cert).
  • Professional certification in Health and Safety Management (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in health and safety management, including experience with management systems and compliance.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing health and safety systems (ISO 45001,standards, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of local, HSE regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and audit skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Experience in world class continuous improvement methodologies preferable
Responsibilities

PURPOSE

The Health and Safety Management Systems and Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management systems that ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and company policies working towards full integration cross-functionally. The role requires the design and maintenance of safety frameworks including policies and procedures, as well as; audits, risk assessments, and training programs to foster a proactive safety culture and minimise workplace hazards. The role leads efforts to ensure the organisation’s adherence to safety legislation, drive continuous improvement, and provide strategic guidance on health and safety matters including the continuous improvement for safety culture through visible felt leadership programs.
