The role

You will take responsibility for the development, implementation and continual improvement of project-specific HSE systems, procedures and initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing a multidisciplinary site-based HSE team
• Providing expert HSE advice to project leadership, supervisors and the wider workforce
• Driving compliance with project, client, legislative and regulatory requirements
• Conducting assurance activities, audits, inspections and investigations
• Promoting visible safety leadership through training, toolbox talks and workforce engagement
• Monitoring contractor and subcontractor HSE performance
• Identifying emerging risks and ensuring appropriate controls are implemented
• Supporting environmental compliance across construction activities
• Maintaining disciplined onboarding and mobilisation practices
• Managing internal KPIs, client reporting and regulatory notifications
• Building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and proactive risk management
