ESSENTIAL (HIRING MANAGER DISCRETION ON EXPERIENCE)



    • Professional Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent or working towards achieving it.



      • Robust knowledge and understanding of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation & best practice and appropriate industry specific qualifications (NEBOSH & IEMA, Auditor Training)



        • Experienced Manager with experience of hard technical service delivery within DCS/FM Industry desired



          • Previous experience of managing and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships



            • Excellent IT skills across Microsoft Office

            Responsibilities

            ABOUT THE ROLE:

            This role is a Health, Safety & Environmental Management role (HSE Manager) focused on the DCS UK project operations and for the provision of holistic support to the DCS UK division.
            You will be responsible for the management of HSE across the portfolio and growing projects business.
            The job forms part of the QHSE function and will involve a hybrid between office and site locations. Some national travel will be expected.

            PURPOSE OF THE ROLE



              • Ensuring the effective, compliant and sustainable delivery of the DCS UK Projects from a HSE perspective and in line with the CBRE (Turner & Townsend) HSE policies through the execution of rigorous HSE governance activities.



                • Drive and embed a collaborative approach to project management by engaging operations, FM Managers, clients / customers and suppliers to achieve continual improvements in HSE standards (in line with the UK DCS QHSE Strategic goals).



                  • Support wider CBRE DCS UK QHSE strategic plan to deliver QHSE excellence across its portfolio and projects business.

                  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



                    • Review, develop and help implement the QHSE elements of the DCS UK QHSE Strategy, including the Governance & Assurances elements of the DCS UK Project Playbook as delivered by (T&T) operators.



                      • Be the primary point of contact for site and project teams to provide tactical support including provision of specific advice, guidance, and adverse event investigation.



                        • Attend regular Project Review and QHSE Meetings and provide updates in relation to Health, Safety & Environmental matters.



                          • Attend project Go / No-Go meetings and support with CPP development and project RAMS.



                            • Produce timely and accurate performance reports for DCS UK and Projects business in line with required cadence.



                              • Support QHSE aspects of new business activity, including support of RFPs, RFIs, and sales pitches.



                                • Support in the implementation of the CBRE QHSE Integrated Risk Management System including the A-Z rules, core arrangements and processes contained within.



                                  • Develop, maintain and improve the business Integrated Management System to underpin QHSE and operating standards.



                                    • Keeping up to date with relevant regulatory and best practice changes, helping to ensure legal compliance.



                                      • Monitor, assess and engage with the site team and sub-contractors to embed required safety culture/behaviours.



                                        • Undertake project specific assurance activity, including site visits, audits, inspections and contractor monitoring.



                                          • Prepare and deliver QHSE updates to operational and project teams.



                                            • Support the training and development of all staff to ensure awareness and understanding of QHSE.



                                              • Develop and deliver training as required.



                                                • Any other duties as may be reasonably expected to meet the purpose of the role.
