The Opportunity:

In this role you will:

  • Develop and Implement project health and safety deliverables and communicate to all applicable stakeholders.
  • Assist in the identification, and management, of high-risk activities at each stage of the project, liaising with key project stakeholders forward safety planning and co-ordination of works activities.
  • Actively ensure risk control measures are implemented, assessed, and monitored.
  • Develop, and implement effective reporting and communications structures on Health & Safety management performance to enable accurate updates, assessment and evaluation.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Health & Safety planning at site level through the assessment of communications with all parties; including contractors, workers, and supervisors.
  • Be a visible safety leader onsite, actively participating in the day-to-day health and safety management, as well as safety auditing.
  • Create and implement the safety strategy detailing initiatives, campaigns for the project, engaging all stakeholders to actively support across all areas advocating a Safety-First Culture
  • Carry out independent Health & Safety audits on all aspects of construction.
  • Ensure contractors establish, implement, and monitor outstanding safety practices and procedures.

    • Partner in assessment of accidents, incidents, & near-miss reporting, including the evaluation of findings, and monitoring the implementation of corrective and preventive measures.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have proven experience in a senior construction safety management role; with relevant experience in construction Health & Safety management within a major industry sector such as pharmaceutical, data centre construction, oil and gas, commercial real estate (ground-up)
  • Have demonstrated experience in contractor communications, liaising with design teams and other project professionals.
  • Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun.
