QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of work experience within HSE in a similar.
  • Master’s degree in HSE or similar
  • High proficiency level of English.
  • Master’s degree in Environment will be a clear added value.
  • IRCA Lead auditor in ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 would be an added value
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE standards and best practices, quality ISO standards, concepts, processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency in hazard jobsite assessment/analysis/solution, risk assessments, incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Development/implementation of processes and procedures, including comprehensive HSE Plans.
  • Conducting inspections and audits.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with the OHS Act 85 of 1993 and Construction Regulations 2014.
  • Maintain and manage the Safety File (risk assessments, method statements, permits).
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
  • Implement and monitor safe work procedures for high-risk activities.
  • Manage legal appointments and ensure qualifications of site personnel.
  • Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans.
  • Ensure PPE compliance and promote an effective safety culture.
  • Coordinate HSE training and inductions for workers.
