THE ROLE

Are you a proven HSE leader ready to take the next step in your career? Join a high-performing team where your expertise will directly shape safety outcomes across nationally significant Drill & Blast and Geotechnical projects.
This full-time leadership role is based at our Subiaco Head Office, with regular travel to diverse project sites. Reporting to the General Manager of Drill & Blast and supporting the Geotechnical Manager, you’ll drive strategic HSE initiatives and embed a culture of Zero Harm across our operations.
We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced HSE professional who thrives on influence, innovation, and impact, someone who can lead from the front and elevate safety performance across complex environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Champion a culture of Zero Harm across all Mining Services operations, with a focus on proactive risk management and behavioural safety.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE systems, strategies, and initiatives across Drill & Blast and Geotechnical projects.
  • Provide expert HSE guidance throughout the project lifecycle — from tendering and mobilisation to execution and close-out.
  • Oversee incident investigations, ensuring robust root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.
  • Maintain governance over regulatory compliance, internal standards, and audit frameworks.
  • Deliver targeted HSE training and capability development programs to uplift safety leadership across the business.
  • Mentor and develop HSE professionals and operational leaders, fostering a high-performance safety culture.
  • Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure operational excellence.
  • Analyse safety performance data to identify trends and drive strategic improvements.
  • Support injury management and return-to-work processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Represent SRG Global in external HSE forums and industry engagements.
  • Lead and manage direct reports, providing coaching, development, and performance oversight.

At SRG Global, we don’t just offer a job - we offer a platform for growth, influence, and reward. This is a rare opportunity to step into a pivotal leadership role with:

  • A highly competitive industry-leading remuneration package aligned with the seniority and impact of the role
  • Autonomy and influence across nationally significant mining projects
  • Professional development pathways tailored to your leadership journey
  • A collaborative and inclusive culture that values your voice and expertise
  • Salary packaging options, novated leasing, and corporate discount
