Job Overview A leading organization is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead Health, Safety and Environmental operations across a large-scale facilities management contract. The successful candidate will oversee HSE compliance, develop safety strategies, manage audits and investigations, and ensure adherence to local regulations and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the project's HSE Management System.
- Ensure compliance with company, client and statutory HSE requirements.
- Lead risk assessments and hazard identification activities.
- Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Manage emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Oversee contractor HSE compliance.
- Lead internal and external HSE audits.
- Monitor KPIs and prepare monthly HSE reports.
- Deliver HSE training and awareness programmes.
- Liaise with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the project.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or related discipline.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (Mandatory).
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor.
- ISO 14001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor.
- Training in: Risk Assessment Incident Investigation Emergency Response Fire Safety Permit to Work Systems
- Minimum 8 years' relevant HSE experience.
- Minimum 3 years in an HSE Manager or Supervisory position.
- Experience within one or more of the following: Facilities Management Industrial Operations Logistics Warehousing Food Storage Port Operations High-risk operational environments
- Required Competencies Integrated Management Systems (IMS) Legal & Regulatory Compliance Contractor HSE Management Risk Assessment Incident Investigation Emergency Preparedness Audit Management HSE Performance Reporting Client & Authority Liaison Excellent leadership and communication skills
