Description

Job descriptionAs an HSE Manager, you plan, manage, and optimize processes related to occupational safety, health, and environmental protection at the Schopfheim and Fellbach locations. You are responsible for implementing site-specific HSE strategies, overseeing certifications, and ensuring compliant processes on-site.

  • Planning, controlling and continuously improving HSE processes for both locations, including preparing for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications and accompanying audits.
  • Overall responsibility for HSE governance and strategy: you develop site-specific processes and standards and ensure their practical implementation.
  • You review and approve protective measures for handling pharmaceutical customer products as well as potent and highly potent active ingredients to ensure laboratory operations and safety.
  • In construction projects, you support technology and project teams, ensure the implementation of HSE plans, and monitor subcontractors.
  • As the central contact person on site, you will be responsible for regular site visits, internal coordination, and accompanying official inspections.
  • You continuously monitor legal and regulatory changes in the HSE area, assess their relevance and initiate necessary measures.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • A completed degree in engineering or natural sciences, or a technical/scientific education with several years of relevant professional experience; ideally, you have practical experience in industry or pharmaceuticals.
  • Several years of sound experience in the HSE/EHS environment, enabling you to confidently apply and further develop HSE methods.
  • You already possess the qualification as a specialist for occupational safety (SiFa) or as a safety engineer (§7 ASiG) or are prepared to acquire it in the near future.
  • Additional qualifications such as SiGeKo and Internal Auditor certificates for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are advantageous and round off your profile.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical analysis, quality assurance in licensed pharmaceutical companies, or in handling potent substances is desirable and practically useful for the role.
  • You communicate confidently, work in a structured and independent manner, have very good German and English skills, and are willing to travel regularly between Fellbach and Schopfheim.
