About The Role As an HSE Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring health and safety compliance for construction activities involving scaffolding and working at height. This role is mandatory to support safe operations by preparing HSE Statements, identifying potential hazards, defining mitigation measures (including mandatory PPE and safety belt usage), and maintaining on-site HSE supervision until another designated HSE Officer is available. This position will be based in Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi, and requires close coordination with site teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure consistent HSE implementation and clear HSE PIC assignment. Job Responsibilities Preparing HSE Statements / Method Statements for activities involving scaffolding and working at height, including hazard identification and mitigation plans. Ensuring mandatory use of PPE (APD) such as safety helmets, safety belts, and fall protection systems during site activities. Maintaining active on-site HSE supervision to monitor compliance with safety procedures and immediately address unsafe conditions. Conducting routine site inspections, safety patrols, and toolbox meetings related to high-risk activities. Monitoring and controlling potential safety risks and ensuring preventive actions are implemented effectively. Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external parties (including LCI) to confirm and communicate the assigned HSE PIC. Supporting incident, near-miss, and unsafe condition reporting, including basic investigation and documentation. Preparing, maintaining, and updating required HSE documentation in line with project needs and regulatory standards. Acting as interim HSE support until a dedicated HSE Officer is available, and ensuring smooth handover once assigned. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute formal education). Minimum 2–3 years of experience in site-based HSE roles, preferably in construction projects. AK3 Umum Certification (mandatory). Working at Height (K3 Bekerja di Ketinggian) Certification — mandatory. Scaffolding Safety Certification is highly preferred. Strong understanding of construction safety practices, hazard identification, and risk mitigation. Hands-on experience in enforcing PPE usage and fall protection systems on site. Able to work independently, be firm on safety enforcement, and maintain consistent site supervision. Good communication skills to coordinate with workers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Willing to be placed in project locations as assigned, including Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi.
