The Role
We are hiring an HSE Officer on behalf of a globally renowned contractor company for a major oil & gas project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of HSE experience, including at least 1 year in construction, installation, or commissioning within the oil & gas sector. ADNOC-approved NEBOSH iGC certification or equivalent is required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a prestigious international contractor and contribute to world-class projects in the UAE. Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Job Responsibilities: • Implement and oversee the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system, ensuring compliance with ADNOC and UAE regulatory requirements. • Conduct regular site inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks. • Organize and deliver HSE training programs to enhance employees’ safety awareness and emergency response preparedness. • Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence. • Coordinate with relevant authorities, contractors, and project teams to ensure adherence to HSE regulations and industry best practices. • Maintain HSE records, prepare reports, and monitor safety performance indicators for continuous improvement.
Requirements
Job Requirements: Education & Certification: • Bachelor’s degree or diploma from a recognized higher education institution, certified by UAE authorities. • NEBOSH iGC or an equivalent certification (requires ADNOC group approval). • Other HSE certifications (subject to ADNOC group evaluation). • Additional HSE training or certifications will be an advantage. Work Experience: • 3-5 years of HSE experience, with at least 1 year in construction, installation, commissioning, or oil & gas projects. • Previous experience working on ADNOC-related projects is highly preferred. Skills & Competencies: • Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards. • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment. • Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage.
