Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of employees, contractors, and visitors. This role will also involve implementing and maintaining HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HSE Management Systems: Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSE management systems, including policies, procedures, and standards.
2. Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
3. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate incidents, including accidents, injuries, and near-misses, and prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.
4. HSE Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees, contractors, and visitors.
5. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with relevant HSE laws, regulations, and industry standards.
6. Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
7. Contractor Management: Ensure that contractors comply with HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
8. Employee Engagement: Promote HSE awareness and engagement among employees, contractors, and visitors.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in HSE, preferably in a similar industry.
3. Certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent certifications.
4. Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
5. Knowledge: Knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and industry standards.
