Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical HSE Officer (Roads O&M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance in our roads operations and maintenance projects. Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures for roads operations and maintenance projects Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing comprehensive reports and recommending preventive measures Provide HSE training and guidance to employees, contractors, and visitors on site Monitor and ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards, particularly those applicable to Qatar Develop and maintain environmental management systems to minimize the environmental impact of road maintenance activities Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution Prepare and present HSE performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement Manage and maintain HSE documentation, including permits, certifications, and training records Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging HSE trends in roads operations and maintenance Qualifications Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field NEBOSH certification or equivalent HSE qualification Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in an HSE role, preferably in roads operations and maintenance In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly those applicable to road construction and maintenance in Qatar Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and reporting techniques Strong understanding of construction safety and traffic management principles Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in MS Office suite and HSE management software Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various project sites as needed Knowledge of local environmental regulations in Qatar Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards Valid Qatar driving license Additional Information
