Key responsibilities
· Conduct regular site inspections, surveillance, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
· Lead toolbox talks, weekly inspections, and HSE documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
· Organize and participate in HSE walkarounds, inspections, audits, and site safety meetings, including preparing reports, action plans, and MOMs.
· Cooperate with clients and main contractors for necessary work permits and compliance matters.
· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures.
· Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), safety equipment, Gas Monitors, EBA, and SCBA.
· Lead and coordinate emergency response teams, fire drills, and HSE committees.
· Drive HSE performance initiatives and manage continuous improvement programs.
· Provide training and awareness sessions to staff, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
· Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across the project team.
· Making sure that all the safety procedures are put in place before the start of the work during site activity and confined space activity.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, and incident investigation techniques.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train, influence, and motivate site staff and subcontractors.
• Commitment to fostering a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
• NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certification or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in HSE roles within construction or transmission projects.
• Experience in TAQA Transmission is an advantage
• Valid driver’s license (required).
