Job Description HSE Supervisor / HSE Inspector 📍 Romania 🕒 Freelancer / Contract-based HSE Supervisor / Inspector supporting large-scale renewable energy projects (Wind, Solar, and BESS) Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements by supervising site activities, promoting safe work practices, and supporting contractors in implementing effective Health, Safety & Environmental management systems. Job Responsibilities: Monitor and supervise daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE requirements; Enforce safe work practices and stop unsafe acts or conditions when necessary; Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS); Ensure proper implementation of permit-to-work, LOTO, working at height, lifting, and electrical safety procedures; Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks; Support contractors in closing HSE non-conformities and implementing corrective actions; Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; Act as the primary HSE point of contact between the client, contractors, and project management team. Qualifications Desired Experience and Skills: Proven experience as HSE Supervisor / HSE Inspector on Wind, Solar PV, and/or BESS projects; Minimum 3–5 years of on-site HSE experience in construction or industrial environments; Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and client-specific HSE standards; Experience with permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and toolbox talks; Ability to conduct HSE inspections, audits, and incident investigations; Strong communication skills and ability to influence contractors and site teams; Fluency in both Romanian and English is mandatory; additional languages are an advantage; Relevant HSE certifications such as GWO / NEBOSH / IOSH, or equivalent are mandatory.
