Assisting H&S Manager in assuring compliance in line with ISO14001, ISO 45000
Provide advice in safety, health, environmental and risk management measures across the activities of the group, ensuring “Best in Class” environmental and health and safety standards are met and a continuously improving trend is established.
To assist the H&S Manager in creating, establishing and driving strategy, methodology, systems, processes, and personnel to achieve this.
To assist the H&S Manager in ensuring continuous improvement by using expertise and methodologies, whilst maintaining KPI targets, and high standards of Health, Safety & Environmental compliance.
To conduct routine health and safety checks, surveys and assessments of the working environment, collate results, and ensure actions are logged and monitored.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the H&S manager in developing and embed a high performing “Best in Class” health and safety culture in the organisation.
  • Participate in the safe work process by being actively involved in the development and implementation of the HSMS.
  • Conduct DSE and PEEP assessments
  • Be proactive, Enthusiastic and energetic.
  • To assist in implementing the health and safety learning plan for staff, and management within the site(s) they are responsible for.
  • To assist the H&S Manager in implementing a health and safety reporting programme to allow management and staff to see the key areas of health and safety work and progress against key targets.
  • To assist the H&S Manager in ensuring that the organisations health and safety policy is updated annually and implemented effectively across the organisation.
  • To support organisation leaders and teams through workplace inspections, safe work meetings, hazard identification, conduct risk assessments, problem solving, provide technical support, incident investigation and analysis.
  • To conduct routine health and safety checks, surveys and assessments of the working environment, collate results, and ensure actions are logged and monitored.
  • Assist Managers to maintain safe systems providing specialist advice, coaching, training and practical support.
  • To ensure induction training on health and safety and provide guidance, learning and support to staff at all levels as appropriate.
  • Assist the H&S Manager in establishing audit methods to evaluate the effectiveness of health, safety and environmental systems and procedures and identify improvements.
  • To keep abreast of changes and updates in health and safety legislation nationally and across the sectors that the site operates in and advise the workforce and Management of areas of change.
  • Contractor management support, such as review RAMS, ensure contractor safety management and provide onsite support.
  • Prepare and present EHS report to management.
