HSE INTERNSHIP – TARANTO, ITALY

In Taranto, Vestas Blades Italia S.R.L. operates one of the most modern blade factories in the world, producing blades for both onshore and offshore wind turbines. Our customers range from local enterprises and project developers to large international power producers and grid operators.
To strengthen our capabilities in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), we are looking for a student passionate about sustainability and workplace safety to join our HSE team at the Vestas Blades Italia production plant in Taranto.
The HSE department is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of the factory.
As an intern, you will work closely with our HSE professionals, operations team, and other key stakeholders across the factory. The department embraces a collaborative and inclusive culture, where teamwork, learning, and communication are at the core of what we do.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar. A Master’s Degree will also be valued.
  • Availability to join a full-time internship program in Taranto.
Responsibilities

You will be involved in the daily work of the HSE department, contributing to both strategic and operational tasks related to health, safety, and environmental management. Your tasks may include:

  • Supporting the implementation and monitoring of HSE policies and procedures
  • Participating in workplace safety inspections and audits
  • Assisting in risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Contributing to the development of safety awareness campaigns and training materials
  • Supporting waste management, sustainability, and environmental reporting activities
  • Performing data analysis and reporting on HSE KPIs
  • Providing support on ad hoc tasks across different departments with a focus on safety and environment
