Role Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated HSEQ Advisor to join their team on a permanent, long-term basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in championing health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across operations. This position is ideal for someone passionate about driving compliance, fostering a proactive safety culture, and ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Health & Safety:
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions to teams and contractors.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, providing recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
  • Environment:
  • Promote and monitor adherence to environmental standards, including ISO 14001.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, such as waste management, energy efficiency, and pollution prevention.
  • Track and report on environmental performance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
  • Quality:
  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems, including ISO 9001.
  • Support internal and external audits, addressing non-conformance issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance processes and ensure consistent quality delivery.

Requirements

  • Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Environmental Management qualification (e.g., IEMA or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Relevant certifications in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are advantageous.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in a similar HSEQ role, ideally within [insert industry, e.g., construction, manufacturing].
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards (45001, 14001, and 9001) and relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and delivering training.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset, capable of identifying risks and implementing effective solutions.
