Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

Civilmart are seeking an experienced and practical HSEQ Coordinator to join our organisation on a permanent fulltime basis, based at our prefabricated concrete reinforcement facility in Altona, Victoria.
This is a hands on, boots on ground role where the HSEQ Coordinator will be the direct point of contact for all health, safety, and environmental matters for the site. Ensuring that all safety related responsibilities are carried out by all personnel including site inspections and risk assessments.
This position will work very closely with the Altona Production Manager and the HSEQ Director to promote, encourage, and endorse safe workplace practices!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct inductions for subcontractors and new employees
  • Conduct site audits of the HSE management system (Skytrust)
  • Assist with preparation of site-specific safety and environmental management plans
  • Investigate and report upon safety incidents
  • Monitor and assess the implementation of preventative safety actions
  • Develop and communicate HSE information for prestart & tool-box meetings
  • Provide ongoing safety training to all employee’s
  • Develop, review, and implement SWMS
  • Provide advice and direction to management on safety and environmental matters
  • Facilitate the RTW of employees
  • Implementation, monitoring and review of the QMS / ISO 9001 transition to ACRS certification
  • Working with external and internal auditors in relation to external and internal audits
  • Conduct Internal audits and report on findings.
  • Ensure all QA documentation is completed and maintained in accordance with Civilmart QMS.
  • Facilitate and promote the sharing of quality improvements and initiatives.
  • Assist production with ITPs and relevant documentation.
  • Provide advice to Senior Management (Branch / State / National) on compliance.
