This position presents an experienced Health and Safety professional with the opportunity to lead a dedicated safety team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Project Managers in managing health and safety risks and ensuring compliance on a major infrastructure project located in the southern Perth metropolitan region which include new build construction, remediation, marine construction, utilities/services.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a similar discipline
• White Card
• Police clearance due to projects being on a Defence site
• Ability to meet country of origin and security clearance requirements

• Manage the team of HSEQ personnel across multiple work fronts
• Support the project leadership team in fostering a positive safety culture
• Analyse HSEQ performance trends, reporting, and system updates
• Advise and educate teams on legislative requirements
• Investigate incidents and critical risks
• Liaise with key interested parties regarding HSEQ
• Drive a safe and healthy work environment
• Conduct and verify in field HSEQ compliance through site inspections and audits
• Manage consultation and communication with the workforce on HSEQ matters
• Coordinate HSEQ training programs
• Manage the preparation and implementation of HSEQ documentation
• Maintaining the company’s established Integrated Management System on the project
• Creating and reviewing risk assessments
