Description

We are seeking a HSQE Advisor to join the team, based in the Bowen Basin, Qld. In this crucial role you will ensure that all HSQE policies, procedures and standards are effectively implemented and maintained, promoting a culture of safety and compliance across our operations.
The role includes the maintaining of HSQE systems and data recording, while assisting sites with compliance to Civeo’s HSQE Management System (Integrated Management System IMS) and further developing a positive people-based safety culture.
This will be a DIDO or FIFO role, based in the Bowen Basin, with a work schedule of 8 days on, 6 days off with frequent travel to our Queensland Villages in the Bowen Basin. This will ideally suit candidates based in the Mackay and Fitzroy regions or FIFO from Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Systems: Implement and maintain HSQE systems and processes on-site in our remote Accommodation Villages.

  • Support Operations: Collaborate with site Managers and Supervisors in conducting safe operations and implementing the safety management system.

  • Safety Processes: Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedure, work instructions and processes.

  • Training: Assist in coordinating and conducting induction and HSQE training programs for staff.

  • Contractor management: Support Operations with contractor management of high risk works.

  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential hazards, ensuring that risk assessments are carried out and updated as necessary

  • Incident Investigations: Facilitate accident/incident investigations and maintain records and statistics

  • Inspections and audits: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSQE policies, legal and client requirements.

  • Safety Improvement: Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to promote continuous improvement in HSQE performance and support HSQE campaigns and injury prevention initiatives targeting key risk areas

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate IV or equivalent in Workplace Health & Safety

  • Ability to ensure accuracy of data entry, data analysis, reporting and recording

  • Experience with incident investigations and risk management

  • Ability to build and maintain positive work relationships

  • Personal standards of confidentiality, honesty and integrity

  • Current Driver’s License

OTHER DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Internal Auditor

  • Cert IV Training & Assessment

  • ICAM Lead Investigator

  • Experience in workforce accommodation or similar industry

  • Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 45001 OHS and ISO 14001 Environmental
