KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Proven experience as a HSQE Manager or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of HSQE regulations and best practices
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety management software
  • Competent report writing skills for submission to Senior Leadership team

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred
  • Full Irish Driving Licence
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and the management of a team of 7-8 safety officers and advisors.
The successful candidate will be based at Head Office in Mallow, Co. Cork and will be required on occasion to travel to branch offices across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK for training and client meetings.
Due to extensive growth over the last number of years in the company, there is a requirement for an additional member to the HSQE team, a highly varied and challenging role providing invaluable exposure to the right candidate.
