This is a HSSE Generalist role that partners with the Businesses by providing them with end-to-end HSSE support and to ensure delivery of effective HSSE management processes. The discipline includes Specialists in the management of the safety risks and barriers associated with Road and Process Safety Operational hazards: Specialists delivering support to the Businesses and to the HSSE and SP disciplines in the fundamental areas of Hazardous Works, HSSE Management System, Process Safety, Behavioral HSSE, Contractor HSSE Management, Construction Safety, Emergency Response, and Incident Investigation and Learning. Trusted business advisors well-versed with international and local standards and are capable to provide support to the business as HSSE SME besides ensuring compliance on all fronts. The scope includes, but not limited to: Supporting assurance in HSSE compliance as per the HSSE Control Framework and local laws Focal in Monitoring and reporting of HSSE KPIs as per the Performance monitoring and reporting requirements (Regional and Local Pakistan) Provide support and assurance for the business ensuring HSSE risks are identified and managed to ALARP Roll out and implementation of initiatives or Standards and process updates Support in incident management i.e., reporting, investigation, Learning from Experience (Go & Engage) etc. Supporting the contracts as CMT assisting in management of contractor HSSE General HSSE support i.e., audits, risk assessment, etc. Contractors’ evaluation exercises i.e., Contract HSSE Plan, Worker Welfare and Supplier Qualification Assessments/Green Banding. Hands-on support in the field to train, coach, and assess the frontline for day-to-day critical HSSE activities. Supporting the Safety Manager Operations in value addition projects, when required. Supporting the HSSE PK team in various initiatives, closure of audit actions, and LOD1 SME Reviews. Typically, Candidate must possess overall 5-10 years of experience with minimum of 5 years of dedicated HSSE Experience. Portfolio has a challenging external environment with high level of risks. Candidate has good exposure to / interaction with business leadership and external stakeholders. Signals HSSE risks and shortcomings and proposes suggestions for improvement. Manages multiple large operational and tactical HSSE projects. Works as an autonomous Safety professional, translates the guidelines and standards into practice and solves common safety challenges. Works within HSSE Control Framework and policies under defined directions while receiving occasional guidance on techniques. Well-versed with Management of Change concepts, Permit to Work, Hierarchy of Controls, Emergency Response & First Aid concepts, Lines of Defense, and the intent of LOD1/2/3, HEMP/HAZOP and Risk Assessment. Passionate about working with the frontline staff and providing hands-on support to various tiers of the organization including contractor staff, senior management in Facilities, RT, Supply, Engineering, and Projects. Able to travel across the country to various terminal locations and hauler bases. May hold or aspire to achieve HSSE Technical Authority TA3 and HSSE SME accreditation. External HSSE/Process Safety certifications are a must.
