Description

Tasks

Activities

• You will strategically expand our business intelligence landscape: from data architecture and dashboards to self-service reporting for all departments.

• You analyze performance data from webshops, marketplaces, CRM, paid media and logistics – and derive concrete recommendations for management from this.

• You develop KPIs, forecasts and scenarios that make our growth trajectory manageable (revenue, margin, CAC, LTV, retention, inventory levels, channel profitability)

• You identify optimization potential along the entire customer journey – from acquisition to conversion to repurchase rate.

• You use AI and machine learning applications productively: including for forecasting, customer segmentation, churn prediction, automated reports, or marketing measurement

• You establish a modern data stack setup (e.g., BigQuery / Snowflake, dbt, Looker / Power BI / Tableau) and ensure a clean, scalable data foundation.

• You work closely with marketing, e-commerce, operations, finance and external partners, translating complex data questions into understandable, decision-ready answers.

• You are a sparring partner for management in strategic issues relating to growth, channel mix and internationalization.

qualification

Your profile

• Completed studies in a scientific-quantitative field – e.g., mathematics, statistics, (business) informatics, industrial engineering, physics or business administration with a clear focus on data/analytics

• Several years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, BI Manager, Data Scientist or in a comparable analytical role, ideally in an e-commerce, consumer or scale-up environment

• Solid experience with AI and machine learning – you have demonstrably co-developed, implemented or productively operated AI-based use cases (e.g., predictive models, AI workflows, classification, recommendation systems or AI-supported automations)

• Excellent SQL skills and proficiency in Python or R; experience with modern data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Metabase, etc.)

• Basic understanding of e-commerce and online marketing: You know how performance marketing, CRM, conversion optimization, marketplaces and webshops work together.

• Structured, solution-oriented work style with a strong business understanding – you think beyond the numbers and make impactful decisions.

• Hands-on mentality, high self-motivation and a desire to actively shape a BI setup in a rapidly growing company.

• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
