Description JOB DESCRIPTION Position: HUB Housekeeper Reports to: HUB Operations Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary: Responsible for the daily cleanup of the interior and exterior of the HUB. Housekeepers are responsible for ensuring a clean and safe environment for all guests and staff. The ultimate responsibility is to ensure that the customer is impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and adds to the exceptional experience for each patron. Essential Duties: Vacuums, mops and sweeps floors, and entrances to ensure they are free of dirt and debris. Cleans all floors, windows, walls on a daily basis throughout their shifts. Removes all of the trash & debris from the floors, and trash cans. The trash collected will then be deposited in the outside dumpsters. Inspects tables and chairs for cleanliness and needed repairs. Cleans bathrooms multiple times each day, to include floor and fixtures. Removes trash from the HUB Area. Cleans party rooms and theaters when not in operation, including floors, chairs and finishes. Restocks supplies as needed to ensure ample amount of inventory is kept on hand at all times. Communicates daily activity to oncoming shifts, to ensure a smooth transition of shifts in the department. Maintains courteous and effective working relationships with others, as well as guests. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: General knowledge of cleaning procedures. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Conduct yourself in a professional manner while at the workplace. Ability to multi-task, communicate effectively in both verbal and writing. Ability to deal with diversity. Understand and comply with all Company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to perform assigned duties in highly disruptive conditions. Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English. Knowledgeable in the operation of all cleaning equipment. Knowledgeable with the use of cleaning supplies and the use, if necessary, of personal protective equipment. Ability to take direction, as well as self-motivate to accomplish the needs of the facility. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 75 pounds. Work involves almost constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals bio hazardous materials, dirt dust, fumes, and loud noises.
