Description
Assist in developing program targets, assumptions and new vehicle features by identifying customer needs and wants through the use of detailed benchmarking and the application of Ergonomic and Stowage standards and principles Develop a Control Layout and Usability (CL&U) document that integrates information from PEHF, studio, planning, marketing, engineering and Digital Product Design Cabin Control Strategy teams that serves to communicate overall interior/exterior control placement status and conformance to various attribute requirements Participate in user research and conduct clinics, utilizing production intent prototypes to evaluate instrument cluster, steering wheel, centerstack infotainment systems, and other mobility related customer touch points Participate in appropriate meetings to support the program(s), including upper and senior level management reviews. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. 2+ years of Automotive Engineering experience or related field 2+ years of experience with using CATIA and MS Office products MS Automotive Systems Engineering or related field 4+ years experience in Vehicle Attribute engineering in Automotive industry or related field (specifically Human Factors, Storage or Harmony attributes) 4+ years experience using CATIA 3+ years experience using Human Modeling Software (JACK , Ramsis, etc.) 3+ years conducting customer usability studies of both digital and physical interfaces. Proficient with Microsoft Office Skills Ford Program experience and knowledge of GPDS and FEDE Self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks w/ minimal direction; comfortable w/ changing environment of early Program work Willingness to travel for customer research events
