HUMAN RESOURCES SEEDS STUDENT WORKER

Salary Range: $17.58 - $20.58 per hour
Location: St. Paul, MN
Accepting applications from current college students studying Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field
MnDOT’s Seeds Student Worker Program and the Office of Human Resources are looking for a student worker to work closely with MnDOT recruiters to help build the agency’s workforce. In this role, you will assist and support agency recruiters in creating and maintaining a qualified, diverse workforce, provide employment information to the public, and administer the employee referral program.

Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment activities by creating and posting job ads on internal and external employment platforms and designing promotional materials
  • Network and research new opportunities for partnerships and recruitment events
  • Coordinate and attend recruitment events to connect job seekers with MnDOT employment opportunities
  • Maintain and analyze data to identify trends, effectiveness of events, and return on investment for HR leadership
  • Assist in administering the Employee Referral Program by maintaining tracking spreadsheets, implementing and marketing the program, and responding to inquiries about the program

SEEDS PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS

This position is part of the Seeds Student Worker Program that equips and trains qualified, diverse students for potential permanent employment with MnDOT. Seeds students must identify within one or more of the following categories:

  • a minority
  • a Recently Separated Veteran (RSV)
  • an economically disadvantaged student
  • a student with a disability
  • a female in STEM or a non-traditional field

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a current student who is enrolled at a college/university, trade, or technical school
  • Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Must have at least one academic year left before graduation
  • Must be a current college student studying Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field
