Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll/Human Resources Clerk to assist and support our Payroll/HR and Compliance teams at our Corporate office. Western Golf Properties is an expanding company with opportunities for professional growth and development, currently managing Multi-State Golf Clubs and Golf Courses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in either Business Administration, Pre-Law, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Payroll or HR support role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, payroll processes, and relevant labor laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed analytical skills, integrity and empathy to effectively communicate sensitive employee issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-directed who loves to work and takes pride in delivering results with excellence.
  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to sit, use keyboard and other office equipment for extended periods of time

Responsibilities
  • Assist with new hire onboarding, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, employee inquiries, training and recognition through designated platforms.
  • Assist in processing bi-weekly payroll for multiple states / locations.
  • Maintain and update employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Respond to federal and state agency communications, including EDD claims and disability claims, employment verifications as directed.
  • Correspond with internal departments and external parties on worker’s compensation claims as directed.
  • Foster respectful and effective communication with C-Suite Executives, National Directors, and employees at all levels.
  • Promote a culture of open dialogue, collaboration and support of Company policies.
  • Prepare Payroll and HR reports, correspondence, and documentation with excellent grammar, professional demeanor, and a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain and respond to employee inquiries thoroughly in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Support HR and Compliance initiatives and special projects as needed.
  • Able to travel and/or work remotely as required.
