Description
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to support the HR and Payroll functions of our manufacturing facility in Chicago. This role reports directly to the HR Manager.   Location: On-Site position, Jefferson Park, Chicago, IL Shift: Monday – Friday 7:30am-4pm Pay: $25 - 27/hour   Responsibilities: * Bi-weekly Payroll processing * Manage payroll documents * Ensure pay changes were approved * Work with Managers on timely approvals * Work with corporate and Controller on completing payroll * Run reports and maintain payroll files * Ensure PTO reconciliation is completed using Excel and ADP reports * Assist with recruiting and hiring efforts * Call candidates and schedule interviews * Assist with new hire orientations * Maintain personnel records, in compliance with HR regulations * Both physical and electronic documents * Manage badge system * Make badges for new hires or employee that lost their badge * Keep badge access up to date * Assist with Safety trainings and keeping safety records * Assist with benefit administration and become familiar with all benefit plans * Enforce company policies, rules and regulations * Assist employees with any questions or concerns * Work on the monthly company newsletter * Manage compliance spreadsheets in Excel * May be asked to go to Conxall location in Villa Park from time to time Qualifications * Associates degree/Bachelors preferred * 2+ years’ experience in Human Resources * Experience with ADP Vantage preferred * General knowledge of labor and employment laws * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong attention to details with good organizational skills * Proficient with Word and Excel Benefits * Benefits * Paid Time Off * Holidays * Medical Insurance * Dental Insurance * Vision Insurance * Life Insurance * Short Term/Long Term Disability * Commuter benefits * Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) * Health Savings Account (HSA) * 401k  * Referral Program * Parental Leave * Healthy Rewards     EOE M/F/Disabled/Vet This company is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, gender, disability or protected veteran status.
