Description Location: Union League Boys & Girls Club Headquarters Job Type: Part-Time Department: Human Resources Position Summary We are seeking a detail oriented and motivated Human Resource Assistant to support our Human Resources department, with a primary focus on recruiting and onboarding. This role is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in HR and gain hands-on experience in talent acquisition and employee engagement. The Human Resource Assistant will help ensure a smooth hiring process and a positive onboarding experience for new employees. Key Responsibilities Recruiting Support Assist with posting job openings on job boards and company career pages Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates Schedule interviews and coordinate communication between candidates and hiring managers Maintain applicant tracking systems and candidate records Conduct initial phone screenings Onboarding & New Hire Experience Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding processes Prepare onboarding materials and employee documentation Ensure completion of new hire paperwork and compliance requirements Serve as a point of contact for new hires during their onboarding period Administrative HR Support Maintain accurate employee records and files Assist with HR documentation and reporting Respond to basic employee inquiries or direct them to appropriate resources Support HR Generalist with additional administrative tasks as needed Requirements Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
