HUMAN RESOURCE BUSINESS PARTNER

We are looking for a Human Resource Business Partner to join our team in Kelowna BC. The Sutherland Group values more than simply providing industry-renowned services to our clients. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

As a member of the Sutherland Group team, we expect you to bring the following to the table:

  • At least 3 years of Human Resources experience as well as Recruitment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience using an HRIS would be an asset.
  • Payroll experience is an asset.
  • Experience with QuickBooks desktop software would be an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills with the ability to plan and execute work effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team player with a strong customer service attitude.
  • Ability to use tact and good judgment in dealing with sensitive and complex issues.
  • Motivated to work through new challenges, continuously learn, and grow.
  • Eager to take initiative and ability to interact and coordinate work efforts with other departments.
  • Adaptable to an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities

  • Ensure relevant HR procedures are followed and completed: hiring, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Communicate thoroughly with candidates during the hiring process to ensure a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Partner with Payroll and Recruitment departments during hirings, terminations and employees’ changes.
  • Keep track of new hires’ probation period to ensure they are enrolled into the benefits and pension plans.
  • Provide support to managers in employee relations matters and process accordingly.
  • Execute exit interviews and regular check-ins with employees.
  • Communicate with managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies,
  • procedures and benefits programs.
  • Maintain accuracy of the HRIS and employees’ files to ensure information and records are up to date.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager to improve and standardize processes across the organization.
