OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Clerk who will provide administrative support to the HR Manager, and assist with the department’s day-to-day operations.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to launch your career in HR and gain valuable insights into all aspects of HR, allowing you to specialize at a later stage. The position can be the first step in a successful career in HR. such as employee onboarding, training, and compensation.

EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ year of experience in a human resources role preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic HR functions.

Responsibilities
  • Follow the Human Resources Manager’s instructions of daily tasks.
  • Publish and update job ads on career pages.
  • Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, including conducting background checks, employee eligibility verifications, scheduling interviews, and preparing new hire paperwork.
  • Copy and scan documents.
  • Prepare reports, maintain files, and assist with employee inquiries, as requested by the HR Manager.
  • Type a variety of documents in draft and final form, such as SOP’s, job descriptions, policies, and reports; proofread materials for correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Maintain department supplies.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Review and audit weekly timesheets.
  • Collect and maintain employee files, such as resumes and other documents.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned.
