Location: Mississauga, ON
Avwind International Inc., a leading TCCA-approved repair and rewind shop for the aviation industry, is looking for an HR Generalist / Coordinator to establish and oversee all human resources functions. With 65 employees and growing, we need a dedicated HR professional to manage HR operations, ensure compliance, and foster a positive work environment.
This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by developing and streamlining HR processes for our dynamic and fast-paced organization. We are open to both contractor and full-time candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR generalist or coordinator role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Ontario labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with payroll and benefits administration (experience with aviation or manufacturing industries is a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organization.
  • HR certifications (e.g., CHRP) are an asset but not mandatory.
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
    Pay: $33,100.00-$80,000.00 per year
    Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all HR-related inquiries and support.
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with the accounting team.
  • Coordinate employee training programs and maintain training records.
  • Support managers with employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HR-related documentation.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and wellness programs.
  • Ensure compliance with TCCA and other industry-specific standards where applicable.
