The focus of this role will be supporting company wide Talent and Recruitment initiatives. Our goal is to attract and maintain a highly competent and fairly compensated workforce.   POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Generalist performs a variety of duties in support of the Human Resources Department including ensuring compliance with new hire documents, providing information and assistance to applicants and new hires.   PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.  * Assists the company in implementing and maintaining Human Resource activities for the talent acquisition and hiring process.  * Provides guidance to locations for HR department best practices * Maintains confidentiality regarding personnel information * Responds to employee and manager inquiries in timely manner   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written * Demonstrates skills in writing and communication * Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations and guidelines related to general HR * Skill in preparing detailed reports * Strong organizational skills  * Ability to exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment * Ability to maintain confidential information * Attention to detail and ability to cope with several tasks and projects simultaneously * Ability to meet deadlines MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience * HR Certification such as SHRM, PHR, HRCI preferred * Two or more years of experience in HR MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE USED: * Usual office equipment including computer, phone, copier and calculator * MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook * ADP Workforcenow preferred * Company system applications * Other software as applicable  WORK ENVIRONMENT: * This is a hybrid position  * Sedentary, works primarily in a climate-controlled environment * Requires continuous visual ability for use of computer, files and reports TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to bend or sit for long periods of time.
