We're seeking an experienced HR Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment and brings a proactive, people-first approach, supporting multiple brands across the PBS Brands (Punch Bowl Social, Pinstripes, Voicebox, Sweet Tooth Hotel, and Lyrical). This is a Denver-based hybrid position requiring regular in-office collaboration with remote flexibility. Compensation $70,000-80,000 annually What you’ll be doing: Demonstrate professionalism and leadership through clear communication, organization, attention to detail, and awareness of team priorities. Lead with strong listening skills, maintain composure in high-pressure situations, and prioritize issues effectively. Act as an advisor and a mentor for operations team, guiding sound decision-making and helping mitigate risk. Be available to support urgent employee or guest needs as they arise. EMPLOYEE RELATIONS Partner with the Operations Leadership team to support the development of happy and healthy team members. Provide support, perform investigations, and act as an advisor to operations leadership about best practices in Employee Relations. Build strong relationships that reinforce HR as a key support mechanism and a resource for step-change improvements across the organization. Advise Operations team on best practices in employee counseling, discipline, and termination. Act as a coach and mediator on employee relations challenges. Bring an objective, mature, and professional approach to listening and resolution. Work to determine root cause and apply systematic approach to resolving the issue based on Core Values. ONBOARDING Develop and execute on-going training/development in topics like discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation training with all staff members. Design and track topic-specific training courses for Operations as requested. SYSTEMS & PROCESSES Partner with Operations leadership to support a positive, healthy team environment. Process, respond, and track all unemployment claims. This includes fact finding and hearings. Process all employment related claims filed with EEOC, OSHA, Work Comp, etc. Act as in-house liaison for outside counsel when needed. Complete all required Human Resources reporting and ensure compliance with federal and state laws Support payroll processes, including auditing, troubleshooting, and ensuring accuracy in partnership with Operations and Finance. Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of Human Resources experience. PHR Certification preferred. Experience supporting multi-unit operations. Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance. Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to implement processes and make sound decisions. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Comfortable balancing detailed execution with big-picture thinking Highly effective in collaboration, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a positive and productive environment. Demonstrated knowledge of HR best practices, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively with all employees including management and outside vendors. Strong follow through, attention to detail and a focus on compliance. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
