Description Job purpose Shredfast, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Generalist to support our hardworking team in Airway Heights, WA. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a hands-on environment and is looking for a consistent, flexible schedule while maintaining meaningful impact. Working directly with company leadership, this position plays a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance, and helping drive a positive, productive workplace culture. This is a critical support role within the organization where your work directly supports daily operations, employee experience, and long-term organizational success. Schedule Part-Time: 30 hours per week Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (flexible within business needs) Non-Exempt Enjoy a 3-day weekend every week while staying engaged in a dynamic and essential role. Available benefits may include: Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage (eligible after 60 days for qualifying employees) 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match (eligible after 12 months for qualifying employees) Voluntary Benefits: Accident Insurance Critical Illness & Cancer Insurance Hospital Insurance Short-Term Disability Term & Whole Life Insurance Paid Time Off & Company Paid Holidays (based on eligibility) Direct Deposit Annual Recognition & Company Achievement Awards Staff Lunches & Company Events Key Responsibilities This role covers a broad range of HR functions, including: Maintain and update employee policies, handbook, and internal communications Clearly communicate company policies and procedures to staff Manage recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes Conduct exit interviews and support employee transitions Assist biweekly payroll in Paylocity, including timecard and PTO review Oversee benefits administration, including 401(k) coordination and enrollments Handle compliance-related items: FMLA / PFMLA L&I claims OSHA reporting (300, 300A, 301) COBRA and garnishments Support performance management and employee reviews Partner with leadership on disciplinary actions, including terminations Coordinate safety programs, committee meetings, and staff training Assist with annual benefits renewals alongside broker Coordinate company events and internal engagement efforts Requirements What You Bring Minimum 3+ years of HR experience Experience with payroll systems (Paylocity preferred) Strong working knowledge of: Benefits administration Compensation and wage structures Employment compliance and HR best practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Docs Experience creating internal communications and materials, including presentations, company announcements, and slideshows (Canva or similar tools) Working knowledge of workplace safety practices, including supporting PPE compliance, safety training, and employee safety program coordination Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Strong communication skills and professional judgment Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and accountability Detail-oriented and thorough in execution Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others Additional Information All applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment background check This position works primarily in a professional office environment within a production setting Learn more about our company: www.shredfast.com Equal Opportunity Employer Shredfast, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
